About us
Made on a small island
Serendib Games is an independent game studio from Sri Lanka, creating original worlds, memorable characters and innovative gameplay experiences.
Why “Serendib”?
Serendib is an old Persian and Arabic name for Sri Lanka, the island we call home. It's also where the English word serendipity comes from: in 1754 the writer Horace Walpole coined it after a fairy tale about the three princes of Serendip, who kept making happy discoveries by accident.
That feeling of stumbling onto something wonderful is what we want every one of our games to give you. We combine a love for games with a passion for technology to build worlds that people can explore, play and enjoy.
What we believe
Play comes first
We prototype early, playtest often and keep what's fun. Technology serves the game, never the other way round.
Island made
Proudly built in Sri Lanka, inspired by its jungles, coastlines and stories, and made for players everywhere.
